1. Our guest speaker for today is the current Deputy Executive Director for Nursing Services of the National Kidney and Transplant Institute.
She is the Founder and President of the Urologic Nurses Association of the Philippines (URONAP) and also the
Founder and President of the Transplant Nurses Association of the Philippines (TNAP).
2. She finished her Masters in Hospital Administration at the University of the Philippines Manila, and with further edification, was conferred Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing
Education Major in Leadership and Management at St. Paul University Manila.
3. Her love for lifelong learning was exemplified in the numerous trainings and continuous education that she undertook in the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan and Harvard
University, USA.
4. As an advocate of patient safety she has led several initiatives and innovations that has highly impacted patient wellbeing through Continuous Quality Improvement Studies and Researches.
5. She is leading the continuous education of nurses not only in her hospital but also training other nurses in the different regions in the Philippines by offering Competency
Development Trainings in Kidney Transplant Nursing, Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis Nursing, Operating Room Nursing, and Transplant Coordination course .
6. She is also being tapped as a speaker by other schools, hospitals and nursing and medical associations, locally and internationally.
7. She received many awards some of which are the CONSUELO GOMEZ ARABIT AWARD given by the peri-Operative Registered Nurses of the Philippines (ORNAP),
OUTSTANDING CEO AWARD conferred by the Career Executive Service Board of the Philippines , received the HIGH COMMENDATION TROPHY given by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI) for her contributions in improving patient safety and quality, and one of the REGIONAL AND NATIONAL WINNERS FOR THE 2021 OUTSTANDING GOVERNMENT WORKER given by the Civil Service Commission. She also received the UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES
DISTINGUISHED ALUMNA AWARD IN NURSING PRACTICE AND ADVOCACY given by the UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, 2023 ASIA CEO Circle of Excellence as one of the awardees for the WOMAN LEADER OF THE YEAR and one of the 85 Extraordinary Women in Quezon City among others
9. With her enthusiasm to teach, she’s also a Professor of Graduate School, at the Philippine Women’s University and University of the Philippines Open University.
