Dr. NG Chi Fai, Anthony, graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1993. Upon completing his surgical training, he became a urologist and specialist in 2001. Drawn to the rapid advancements in minimally invasive surgery, he spent a year in Scotland, working under Mr. David Tolley, where he gained extensive experience in endo-laparoscopic surgery and stone management.
After completing his training, Dr. Ng joined the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2006 and currently holds the position of Tsu Leung Ho Professor of Urology and Chief of the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery, at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also the Director of the CUHK Hong Kong Jockey Club Minimally Invasive Surgical Skill Centre. His clinical and research interests are extensive, with a particular focus on prostate diseases, minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, and urolithiasis. In 2010, he was honoured with the Outstanding Young Urologist Award by the Asian Congress of Urology and was named the International Guest Scholar of the American College of Surgeons in 2012. He received the Achievement Award from the World Chinese Urology Association of the American Urological Association in 2014 and the Outstanding Contribution Award from the International Alliance of Urolithiasis in 2017. Furthermore, he was the first surgeon to perform da Vinci SP urological surgery in Asia.
