Kwang Jin Ko

Dr. Kwang Jin Ko is an Assistant Professor of Urology at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea. He specializes in functional and reconstructive urology, with clinical focus areas including voiding dysfunction, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome. He earned his M.D. from Kyung-Hee University and completed his Ph.D. in Urology at Sungkyunkwan University, where his doctoral research focused on non-invasive diagnostics for bladder outlet obstruction. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Samsung Medical Center and held academic appointments at Hallym University prior to rejoining Samsung as faculty. Dr. Ko has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and currently serve on the editorial boards of the World Journal of Urology, International Neurourology Journal, and LUTS. His recent research includes machine learning applications for diagnosing lower urinary tract dysfunction and predicting outcomes after surgical interventions. He has received multiple awards, including several Best Paper and Young Investigator Awards from the Korean Continence Society. Dr. Ko is frequently invited to speak at national and international conferences and plays an active role in surgical education, including proctoring robotic cadaver workshops in pelvic reconstruction.
