Ching-Heng Yen

My name is Ching-Heng Yen, and I was born on February 14, 1982. I graduated from the School of Medicine at the National Defense Medical Center in Taiwan. Since then, I have dedicated myself to the field of urology, with a particular focus on urolithiasis in both basic and clinical research. My professional journey began at the Tri-Service General Hospital, where I completed my residency and later served as a chief resident. These formative years allowed me to develop a solid foundation in surgical skills, clinical judgment, and patient care. In pursuit of further expertise, I undertook advanced training as a clinical fellow at Seoul National University Hospital in South Korea, an experience that greatly broadened my international perspective and deepened my academic and clinical competencies. Currently, I serve as the Director of the Department of Urology at the SongShan Branch of Tri-Service General Hospital. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am also a doctoral candidate at the Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences at the National Defense Medical Center. My research centers on urinary stone disease, exploring both its pathophysiology and innovative treatment approaches. Throughout my career, I have consistently strived to balance clinical excellence with academic inquiry. I am deeply passionate about improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and translational research. Looking forward, I aim to continue contributing to the advancement of urology through research collaboration, education, and clinical leadership.
