Hung-Jen Wang

Dr. Hung-Jen Wang graduated from Kaohsiung Medical University in 1997 and completed his urology residency training at Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital in 2000. Subsequently, he was appointed as a faculty member at Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in the Department of Urology. From 2007 to 2009, he served as a research fellow at Wake Forest University Institute of Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering. Having stepped down from the position of Chief of the Department of Urology, he currently holds the positions of Chief of Department of Surgery, Kaohsiung Municipal TaTung Hospital and the Director of the Da Vinci Minimal Invasive Surgery Center at Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan. His clinical focus is on prostate cancer and prostate diseases. Since 2016, he has conducted several research studies on the effects of low-intensity shockwave therapy in prostatitis and bladder dysfunction, resulting in several publications in this field. In February 2024, he was elected as the chairman of the Taiwan Urological Oncology Association.
