After receiving his Masters in Urology training In India with honors at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College, he served as an associate professor and senior consultant both at the university and private multinational corporate hospitals until 2008. Subsequently completed a dual Fellowship and Diploma in MIS Urology at the National University Hospital in Singapore from the Academy of Medicine, Singapore,
He joined as a founder member of the department of urology at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NUHS) and is currently working here. His field of expertise is MIS in calculus disease, MIST for prostate and MIS in renal cancer and kidney diseases. Well, acclaimed regionally and internationally for training of national and international residents and fellows his department is a premier tertiary institute for MIS in stone and prostate surgery. His areas of focus also include Urogenital infections, male urethral disease, and Artificial Intelligence applications.
With a key focus on teaching, clinical research, and minimally invasive surgery, and having received three times the “Service quality award” and “Long term service award in urology”, the "silver service award in urology", EAU UROTECH innovations paper award (2021) and BANTUC innovation prize award (2022) and Best clinical paper award in endourology at EAU2025
He is focused on advanced MIS for calculus, benign prostate disease and renal cancer and upper tract infections .
As a principal investigator he has pioneered 25 “Real world multicenter studies” with more than 200 peer review publications and serves as editorial board member for many tier 1 journals.
