Dr. Michael Erlano Chua is an Assistant Professor in Global Surgery at the University of Toronto and Program Director of the Pediatric Urology Fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children. He holds board certifications in both Pediatric Urology and Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery, with extensive training from leading institutions in Canada, the USA, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Dr. Chua serves as Section Chief of Genitourinary Reconstructive and Transitional Urology at St. Luke’s Medical Center and is internationally recognized for his contributions to surgical education, global health, and complex pediatric and reconstructive urology. His prolific academic output includes over 100 peer-reviewed publications, and his research interests span surgical innovation, transitional care, and global surgical capacity building.
