Dr Tan Yi Quan is a Urologist at both Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and National University Hospital in Singapore. Dr Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore as the top surgical graduate, and was awarded the First Mekie Book Prize and Distinction in Surgery. Dr Tan’s subspeciality interests are in Minimally Invasive Stone Surgery, Complex Urinary Stone Disease, and Minimally Invasive Surgical Therapy (MIST) for BPH. He is part of a dynamic Endourology team at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, who are frequently among the earliest adopters of new technology and concepts in the region. Dr Tan leads the BPH MIST programme at his centre, and was the first Urologist in Singapore accredited to perform the iTIND procedure for BPH.
Dr Tan completed an International Endourology Fellowship at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. Dr Tan has also been awarded the prestigious Japanese Urological Association (JUA) Asian Scholarship to visit Tokai University Hospital in Tokyo, Japan. Dr Tan actively contributes to Urology education through his regular involvement in various international workshops and conferences. Dr Tan is an invited Associate Member of the Asian Urological Society of Endoluminal Surgery and Technology (AUSET), and also serves as a Youth Member of the International Alliance of Urolithiasis (IAU).
