Grahame Smith is a paediatric urologist and the Head of the Department of Pediatric Urology at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. He holds Fellowships in Pediatric Surgery and Urology from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a Pediatric Urology Fellowship from the Children's Hospital in Philadelphia.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS), the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ), the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Pediatric Urology of New Zealand and Australia (SPUNZA), and the Hypospadias International Society (HIS). Additionally, he is a member of the Asia Pacific Association of Pediatric Urology (APAPU).
He keenly advocates for the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program Pediatric (NSQIPP).
His interests include evidence-based medicine, hypospadias, vesicoureteric reflux, hydronephrosis, and posterior urethral valves. He has published more than 60 articles in peer-reviewed journals, including HOSE – A scoring system for the results of hypospadias surgery and antibiotics and surgery for vesicoureteric reflux: a meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials.
