En Meng

Dr. En Meng is a distinguished medical professional with a focus on urology and surgical practices. Currently serving as the Deputy Superintendent at the Tri-Service General Hospital and a Professor at the School of Medicine at the National Defense Medical Center in Taipei, Taiwan, Dr. Meng brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his roles. Dr. Meng's academic journey includes obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology from the University of Oxford in the UK and a Doctor of Medicine from the National Defense Medical Center. His professional experiences span various leadership positions within the Tri-Service General Hospital, including serving as the Director of the Department of Surgery, Chief of the Division of Urology, Director of the Innovation Incubation Center, and Director of the Nephrology and Urology Integration Segment Program. Additionally, Dr. Meng has been instrumental in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. Dr. Meng's research interests center around functional urology, female urology, ketamine uropathy, and chronic cystitis. His published works in esteemed journals such as Biology (Basel), Frontiers in Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutics highlight his contributions to the field. Notably, his research on ketamine-related cystitis and the use of intravesical dextrose injection for interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome have garnered significant attention.
