Dr. Alvin Wee is a urologist by training with specialized expertise in kidney and pancreas transplantation. Originally from the Philippines, he completed his residency before moving to the United States to pursue fellowship training. In 2008, under the mentorship of the late Dr. Andrew Novick, he was entrusted with building a new transplant program in Indianapolis, which went on to become one of only 21 programs nationally recognized for exceptional outcomes.
Dr. Wee later returned to the Main Cleveland Clinic in 2017 to lead a transformative growth strategy for the flagship transplant center, which has since achieved 133% growth and is currently ranked #1 in the U.S. in combined quality and volume. In addition to being the program director at the main campus, He also serves as Living Donor Director at Cleveland Clinic Weston Florida, supports regional and national program development, and contributes to international efforts in robotic transplantation, particularly in Abu Dhabi. His leadership bridges clinical excellence, innovation, and sustainable systems growth.
