Wen-Wei Sung

Dr. Wen-Wei Sung completed his M.D.-Ph.D. program at Chung Shan Medical University in 2016. After completing his residency, he joined Chung Shan Medical University and Chung Shan Medical University Hospital as a urologic specialist and associate professor in August 2021, and was promoted to professor in 2025. His research centers on oncoimmunology, particularly the roles of tumor progression and precision medicine. As the principal investigator, he leads projects on personalized therapeutic strategies using primary cancer cells and in vivo models for urogenital and gastrointestinal cancers. In addition, he serves as an editor for multiple journals—including Urological Science, Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, Cells, Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences, the Journal of Personalized Medicine, the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology, PLOS ONE, and Medicine—and has reviewed manuscripts for more than fifty journals.
