Professor Sun Il Kim is a Urologist who specializes in Urologic Oncology. He graduated from Yonsei University Medical School and received his urology residency training at Severance Hospital. He accomplished fellowship program at Severance Hospital and was appointed to the faculty at Hanyang University in 2001 before moving to Ajou University in 2006. He continued his research activities as visiting researcher in Laparoscopic Urologic Surgery at Nagoya University Hospital and as visiting scholar in the Department of Urology at University of California, Davis.
Professor Kim has been involved in various clinical trials and has a large list of peer-reviewed articles published in international and Korean journals. His research contributions cover diverse topics in urology, including bladder cancer, prostate cancer, renal cell carcinoma and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Over the years, he has actively contributed to the Korean Urological Oncology Society as Director of the International Collaboration Committee, Director of Planning, Vice President and President till December 2024.
