Dr. Chieh Hsiao Chen is an urologist and biomedical engineer dedicated to advancing healthcare through innovation. In 2012, he was selected for the Stanford-Taiwan Biomedical Program, gaining exposure to Silicon Valley’s startup ecosystem. During this time, he co-founded iXensor Inc., which was later listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2019. In 2015, Dr. Chen founded Brain Navi Biotechnology, where he currently serves as CEO. The company focuses on developing intelligent neurosurgical systems, including NaoTrac, an autonomous brain surgical robot powered by AI, robotics, and machine vision. NaoTrac has received CE Mark and TFDA approval and is undergoing FDA review. Brain Navi has also developed KrystoLens, a single-use neuroendoscope. Under Dr. Chen’s leadership, the company has received several prestigious awards, including the National Innovation Award, Startup of the Year, Japan Good Design Award, and the Industrial Innovation Award from Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs. Dr. Chen’s work continues to shape the future of neurosurgery and precision medicine.
