Introduction
Sarcomas could be treated with Pazopanib, which has an unique adverse event such as pneumothorax. We report a case of pneumothorax which was suspected to be caused by Pazopanib.
Materials and Methods
47-year-old male had a right flank pain and constipation and visited to our hospital in February, 2024. An abdominal ultrasonography, contrast-enhanced CT and MRI revealed a 7.4cm right adrenal tumor. 123I-MIBG scintigraphy revealed negative for a pheochromocytoma. According to the large size of the tumor, malignant adrenal primary tumor was suspected. He received an open adrenalectomy. The tumor aggressively invaded the liver and thought it impossible to radically remove the tumor out. But instead, we performed the tumor biopsy. The pathology of the specimen revealed immature leiomyosarcoma, he started to take oral Pazopanib 800mg once daily. The primary adrenal tumor response was partial response, however he developed pneumothorax on his left lung. We suspected it as an adverse event of Pazopanib.
