Abstract Content
With increasing rates of men seeking medical intervention for erectile dysfunction, the number of patients with an inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) is growing. It is important to be able to safely perform a robotic assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) in patients with a pre-existing IPP, especially in those with a pelvic reservoir. Whilst it is appropriate to avoid dissection and mobilisation of the pelvic reservoir in some cases, in others it is necessary to mobilise the reservoir via dissection of the fibrous capsule to allow for adequate vision to perform safe and careful prostatectomy. This video demonstrates our novel technique of preserving the pelvic reservoir using a suspensory technique.
