Abstract Content
This study aimed to examine the impact of individualized nursing in treating urinary calculi associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) using transurethral vaporization of the prostate.
In a randomized controlled trial, we randomly assigned 80 patients with BPH and urinary calculi from the hospital to experimental (n = 40) and control (n = 40) groups. The experimental group received individualized nursing care, while the control group received standard nursing care. The two groups' surgical recuperation, complications, and nursing satisfaction were contrasted.
Following nursing, In comparison to the control group, the experimental group experienced shorter durations for bladder irrigation, postoperative hospitalization, catheter removal, anal exhaustion, and first time out of bed than the control group. These differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The experimental group had a higher quality of life score than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). the experimental group experienced fewer complications, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The experimental group had a higher overall nursing satisfaction rate than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).
The individualized nursing model of transurethral vaporization of prostate in the treatment of BPH with urinary calculi can reduce the length of hospital stay and postoperative problems, enhance the urination function and the quality of life of patients.
