Abstract Content
Introduction
Inguinal herniation of the bladder is a relatively uncommon surgical diagnosis that can lead to serious complications such as obstructive uropathy and urinary tract infection if not appropriately managed. We describe the case of a 72-year-old man who presented with worsening lower urinary tract symptoms associated with increasing right scrotal swelling for 6 months. CT imaging revealed a massive inguinoscrotal bladder hernia causing bilateral severe hydroureteronephrosis. The patient underwent an open right inguinal hernia repair with mesh and insertion of right ureteric stent and was discharged with no complications.
