Introduction
Number of reconstructive procedures for pelvic organ prolapse (POP) through robotic surgery has been on the increasing trend in rcent years owing to less morbidity and less complications. In this paper we describe the technical aspects of robotic hysterosacropexy using the Hugo Ras robotic surgical system.
Materials and Methods
A young female in her mid 30’s who wished to preserve the uterus, underwent hysterosacropexy by robotic surgery.
Results
The procedure was performed successfully using HUGO robot without the need for any other additional procedures . Intra- operative and post-operative period was uneventful. Long term results from HUGO robot system yet to be studied.
Conclusions
Young women who wish to preserve fertility can opt for this procedure using robotic surgical system.
