Abstract Content
To explore the effectiveness and postoperative hospital stay length after mini-percutaneous nephrolithotomy for stone management.
From August 2020 and September 2024, we retrospectively analyzed 99 patients who underwent a total of 102 mini-percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedures at our center. Patients and clinical characteristics, preoperative stone burden, postoperative residual stone and hospital stay length were reviewed.
Of the 99 patients there were 58 males and 41 females. The preoperative average stone burden counted in stone area was 5.24 cm2. The postoperative stone free rate was 86.27% and the median postoperative hospital stay length calculated in hours was 27 hours.
Mini-percutaneous nephrolithotomy seemed to be a effective and feasible surgical technique to achieve a satisfied stone free rate, and most patients could be discharged in 1-2 days after surgery.
