Success in flexible ureteroscopy needs very good Lasers and scopes and equipment is the Achilles heel for surgeons performing retrograde intra renal surgery. With the addition of suction in ureteroscopy, stone volumes and surgical times are being redefined and hence the role of a good scope and effective laser to maximize outcomes and efficacy is become paramount. Here in we outline the evidence and experience-based findings that can help urologists chose the different lasing strategies offered by the Magneto LASER and improve their perioperative experience when performing Direct in scope suction (DISS) and ureteroscopy with  Flexible and navigable suction access sheath (FANS)
