With a focus on optimising OAB management for improved patient outcomes, this symposium will explore current treatment strategies and the practical application of up-to-date data on clinical practice. Looking to the future, our eminent faculty will also discuss exciting new developments in this space.

The initial presentation will explore the evolving landscape of overactive bladder (OAB) treatment, with a focus on the clinical role of β3-adrenergic receptor agonists. The speaker will expound on real-world evidence and discuss the impact of currently-used treatments on health-related quality of life and treatment persistence. Further, safety data around the use of these treatments will also be discussed.

In a highly interactive session, symposium participants can discuss and debate key issues around OAB management. The panel discussion, built around a typical case presentation, highlights the practical application of clinical data, particularly in patients with common co-morbidities. The emphasis will rest firmly on ways to ensure a tailored, patient-centered approach to therapy selection, integrating evidence-based insights to support safe and effective management in complex clinical scenarios.

Wrapping up the symposium, the final presentation invites the audience to consider the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and surgical innovations in the future management of OAB. In many aspects of healthcare, AI is poised to revolutionise care by predicting patient responses and enabling personalized, data-driven treatment strategies. For patients with refractory OAB, the presentation will provide an overview of guideline-recommended third-line interventions. Surgical advancements are expanding therapeutic options, demonstrating reasonably good efficacy and tolerability.

This symposium offers a comprehensive overview of both current and emerging approaches to OAB management, grounded in the latest clinical evidence and real-world insights. By combining expert-led discussions, practical case-based learning, and forward-looking perspectives on innovation, attendees will gain valuable knowledge to enhance patient care. From optimizing first-line pharmacologic strategies to embracing cutting-edge technologies and personalized treatment pathways, this symposium highlights the tools that can help clinicians deliver more effective, patient-centered OAB management today – and in the future.
